Job Objective
will be responsible for supporting the leasing activities within the company’s retail portfolio which includes identifying potential tenants, negotiating lease agreements and maintaining strong relationships with existing tenants. The role requires a proactive approach to maximizing occupancy rates and ensuring tenant satisfaction while aligning with the company’s revenue objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Leasing Management: • Assist in developing and executing retail leasing strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue targets. • Identify and approach potential tenants, presenting suitable leasing options. • Negotiate lease terms, conditions and renewals in line with company policies. • Prepare and review lease documentation and ensure compliance with legal and operational standards.
- 2. Tenant Relations: • Serve as a primary point of contact for tenant inquiries and issues. • Foster positive relationships with tenants to ensure satisfaction and retention. • Conduct regular site visits and meetings to address tenant concerns and gather feedback.
- 3. Market Analysis & Reporting: • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and tenant preferences. • Prepare reports on leasing performance, occupancy rates, and market conditions. • Provide data-driven insights to support leasing strategies and decision-making.
- 4. Coordination & Collaboration:• Work closely with the marketing team to promote available retail spaces. • Collaborate with the legal department for lease documentation and compliance. • Coordinate with property management teams to ensure tenant requirements are met.
- 5. Financial Accountability: • Monitor rental income and ensure timely collection of lease payments. • Assist in preparing leasing budgets and forecasts. • Ensure lease agreements align with financial objectives and revenue targets.
Working Conditions
- Office-based role with frequent site visits.
- Flexibility for occasional travel as required.
Requisite Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field.
Experience Requirement
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail leasing or commercial real estate.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in leasing management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent market knowledge and analytical skills.
