RAK Properties is providing a designated location for the event where food-lovers’ will get a taste of authentic local flavors

RAK Properties is participating in the “RAK Food Carnival”, currently underway at the Lagoon Walk in Mina Al Arab. The event is being held in Ras Al Khaimah, from December 12-21, from 4pm until 10pm and at 11pm during the weekends.

Showcasing a variety of live food offerings, recreational and cultural activities, the carnival is the ideal entertainment destination for local food lovers and families longing to experience the exotic flavors of local authentic cuisine.

The festival features a wide range of activities for individuals across all age groups, and will feature several live theater performances, in addition to interactive competitions and an opportunity to walk away with some exciting prizes.

Mohammad Sultan Al Qadi, Managing Director of RAK Properties, said that the organization is always keen on participating in such events that lend an ambiance of fun and joy, and gives the Emirate community and other visitors an opportunity to relax and rejuvenate. Such events also significantly contribute towards enhancing Ras Al Khaimah’s social, recreational and cultural image.

“Besides getting their hands on some varieties of food, visitors could enjoy a wonderful view overlooking the pristine waters of Lagoon Walk at Mina Al Arab. An added advantage is also that the event location is very conveniently accessible and visitors need not worry about finding parking considering the larger number of parking lots available,” Al Qadi said.

Amna Salem Al-Mathkour, Head of the RAK Food Carnival team, emphasized that the initiative is supported by the government to promote the values of love, brotherhood and to align with the President’s vision of making the UAE a more tolerant nation. “All restaurants are invited to participate without any fees,” she added.

Al Mathkour said that the decision to offer exemption of fees came in recognition of restaurants’ owners who have been residing in Ras Al Khaimah since 1970’s and 1980’s and started their enterprises despite the modest capabilities at that time. They showed persistence, contributed to the development process and had a positive impact on the social and economic life in the Emirate.

The event is open to general public and will feature several old and renowned restaurants established in Ras Al Khaimah many years ago, and are still considered a popular destination for people who flock from all over the UAE for high quality food and rich flavor.

“The participating restaurants are mainly specialized in serving authentic UAE food, and visitors will also have an opportunity to taste unique types, that have been passed on from generations and reflect the best of the local heritage and food culture,” Al Mathkour said.
